Likening herself to a modern day Jane Eyre, Catherine Wickham arrives at Whycham Hall, where her aunt is housekeeper. Delighted to spend the Easter vacation helping Aunt Em prepare the hall for its new owner, property developer Roderick Marchant, Catherine is less happy to discover Rod's intentions to alter the Whycham Estate beyond all recognition.
Told she is a direct descendent to the original owners of Whycham Hall, Catherine resolves to halt Rod's plans for good. Unfortunately, she hasn't bargained on Rod's determined girlfriend, Francesca. Forced to spend time in Rod's company, Catherine is left with two choices: Leave Whycham le Cley forever or hide her love for Rod as she fights to save her beloved village from property developers.

Asked what inspires her to write, Danielle often refers to her family roots and numerous places that have left a lasting impression.
Inspiration for SUNFLOWER MORNING came from ROKPA (see the Links page), two Norfolk paintings (hanging in her parent's dining room), and the often repeated story told by her great-grandfather. This concerns seizure of the family estate in Norfolk (a result of unpaid death duties), during the reign of Queen Victoria. By writing SUNFLOWER MORNING Danielle gives her heroine (Catherine Wickham) the opportunity to reinstate that claim.
